Marking the beginning of the celebration of its 25th anniversary, Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel presents a special booth developed in partnership with Ivo Mesquita, who has closely followed the gallery’s history. “The presentation traces a timeline of the exhibition program, placing works by different generations of artists in dialogue and highlighting continuities, shifts, and affinities that run through these twenty-five years of activity,” says the curator.
Organized through a temporal reading, Leda Catunda and Ernesto Neto belong to a generation of artists represented by the gallery since its founding. Marina Rheingantz and Erika Verzutti, in turn, form a second core that has become one of the most expressive groups within the contemporary scene. More recently, Márcia Falcão — who participated in the latest edition of the São Paulo Biennial — points to current developments. Wanda Pimentel appears as part of a historical period, alongside names such as Ivens Machado and Frank Walter, whose estates are represented by the gallery.
Expanding into the third-floor lounge, the presentation also includes a sculpture by Ernesto Neto and a large-scale diptych by Tadáskía, extending the field of dialogue between the works and proposing a more immersive and articulated experience across different languages.
