At Art Basel 2026, Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel marks its 25-year anniversary with a presentation of 25 artists, a gesture that reflects both the breadth and continuity of the gallery’s program. The booth brings together artists from different generations whose practices, though distinct in form and context, share a sustained commitment to experimentation and dialogue. Across painting, sculpture, installation, and conceptual work, the presentation reflects both the history of the program and its continued evolution

Highlights of the presentation include new and recent works that foreground material inquiry, embodied form, and the unstable architectures of social and pictorial space. Antonio Társis expands his investigation into the cultural and formal lives of everyday materials, transforming matchboxes, fruit crates, and charcoal fragments into intricate compositions that balance rigour and improvisation while registering the metamorphic effects of time. A new sculpture by Ernesto Neto introduces a creature-like form made of natural materials that appears to rest against the wall like an insect, merging zoological reference with architectural structure. In her series Monumentais, Márcia Falcão presents large-scale paintings in which chromatic intensity and turbulent gestures partially obscure bodies beneath dense pictorial surfaces, generating compositions charged with physical force and texture. Works from Rivane Neuenschwander’s series The Unsubmissive adopt figurine forms to disarm and destabilize figures of authority, exposing the fragility and violence embedded within structures of power through a language that is at once playful and incisive. Meanwhile, Lucia Laguna brings together garden views, urban fragments, and geometric motifs in layered compositions that unfold through accumulation and erasure, assembling fractured landscapes shaped by the shifting rhythms of her surroundings.

The booth features works by Anderson Borba, Leda Catunda, Rodrigo Cass, Cerith Wyn Evans, Márcia Falcão, Pélagie Gbaguidi, Lucia Laguna, Sophia Loeb, Rodrigo Matheus, Beatriz Milhazes, Ernesto Neto, Rivane Neuenschwander, Damián Ortega, Mauro Restiffe, Marina Rheingantz, Valeska Soares, Gokula Stoffel, Iran do Espírito Santo, Janaina Tschäpe, Antonio Társis, Yuli Yamagata, Luiz Zerbini, Erika Verzutti and Barrão and Tadáskía.
