Ana Cláudia Almeida | Márcia Falcão | Pélagie Gbaguidi | Cristiano Lenhardt | Ernesto Neto | Rivane Neuenschwander | Janaina Tschäpe | Luiz Zerbini
Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel is pleased to present a selection of recent works by represented artists on the occasion of the fair, reflecting the gallery’s ongoing engagement with material experimentation, perception, and the poetics of form.
Across painting, sculpture, and cross-disciplinary practices, the presentation brings together artists who reconfigure relationships between body, the natural world, and matter. Ernesto Neto explores sensorial and organic possibilities through pliable materials and manual processes, while Rivane Neuenschwander presents a meditation on violence through paintings of emptied-out environments. Janaina Tschäpe’s abstract paintings articulate fluid states of movement and chromatic intensity, and Cristiano Lenhardt brings together ceramics, painting, textiles, and wall-based reliefs in works that test the boundaries between object and image. Luiz Zerbini and Márcia Falcão engage distinct painterly vocabularies — one attentive to systems and rhythms of the natural world, the other to the human figure in shifting contours—while Ana Cláudia Almeida and Pélagie Gbaguidi foreground gesture, memory, and cultural resonance.
In addition, the gallery will present a dedicated solo booth showcasing new works by Ana Cláudia Almeida, in collaboration with Quadra, as part of Profiles | Latin American Art, a curated section organized by José Esparza Chong Cuy. Almeida’s practice is rooted in a dynamic engagement with materiality, where paint, fabric, and image intersect to transmute memory and gesture into tangible form. Her fluid handling of surfaces—allowing traces of previous actions to remain visible — creates works that embody transformation, resilience, and the layered interplay between mind and body, inviting viewers into a space where abstraction becomes a vessel for subjective histories and possibility.
